The LifeMap

Sky Ranch is more than a week of summer camp. It's an investment into the total development of your child. Our summer camp program is designed upon a curriculum called the LifeMap. It is a comprehensive development plan created to assist the spiritual and personal growth of your child during every step of their transformation into adulthood.

Phase 1: Learn

As children go through our summer camp program, Phase 1 camps encourage them to learn about their faith and make their beliefs real. Campers are encouraged to think about these life-defining questions: What is truth? Who is Jesus? Who am I? and How do I fit in to God's plan? These lessons are taught by strong Christian counselors who model their faith in real life and serve as true examples of servanthood. Each year builds upon itself, so as kids go from Launch Camp to Sky 4, they will learn and grow as they go.

Phase 2: Experience

Phase 2 camps emphasize putting one's faith into action. Our Leadership Camps (MORPH, QUEST and SIGMA) are for campers who are ready to take the next step of discipleship. As teenagers, they are forced to dig deeper than their childhood beliefs. No longer are campers spoon-fed basic Biblical principles; they are challenged to truly live out the character lessons they have been taught. The curriculum of Phase 2 camps is based on experiential learning. Not only are they required to contemplate how Biblical lessons apply to their everyday lives, they are expected to put these ideas into practice while they are at camp. Phase 2 camps are designed to help shift the focus from a me-centered existence to one of true Godly discipleship.

Phase 3: Become

As the final step of the Sky Ranch LifeMap, Phase 3 is the evidence of a Godly transformation. As young adults, some campers choose to re-invest their lives in Sky Ranch as summer camp counselors in order to influence the development of others. With many fond memories of the counselors who touched their lives, these college students sacrifice their summer vacation to be a part of impacting the next generation. Sky Ranch continues the spiritual encouragement of these Phase 3 individuals with weekly CMD (Coach, Mentor and Disciple) groups and personal discipleship from seasoned Christian leaders. Our hope is that as these counselors learn to serve children and be a positive influence, they will be better equipped to impact their spheres of influence in the future.
