Please look this over, and if you still have a question, don't hesitate to call us at (877) 215-7725. Our offices are open 9-5, and we are eagerly waiting to hear from you. You may also e-mail us any questions at guestregistrations@skyranch.org.
What will my child eat while at camp?
Sky Ranch proudly serves three hearty Kid-friendly meals per day. From pancakes and sausage to eggs and cinnamon rolls for breakfast, deli turkey sandwiches to chicken nuggets for lunch, and burgers to chicken-fried steak for dinner, entrees are always well-balanced and nutritious. And if your child doesn’t like what’s on the menu, the Sky Ranch dining hall also has a fully stocked salad bar that contains numerous positive alternatives including yogurt, mixed salads, fresh veggies and more! Not only that, a wide selection of fresh fruit is available at every meal as well as a peanut butter and jelly station. For vegetarian diets, gluten-free or other special dietary needs, please contact our food service department by e-mailing LeeAnn Stewart at leeanns@skyranch.org.
What about laundry?
Laundry service is available for multi-week campers only. All campers should bring enough clothing for their appropriate length of stay. Laundry is done on weekends and will cost a nominal fee. Please contact Guest Registrations at (877) 215-7725 to sign up for this option. There is NO laundry service for Quest High Adventure or Sigma. Nonetheless, we recommend that all clothing articles are labeled clearly with your camper's name. Please do not bring any clothing that requires special care or is delicate or expensive.
What are the cabins like?
All cabins are air-conditioned with indoor bathrooms. Each cabin contains 16-22 beds in bunk bed style and will be supervised by 4 to 5 summer camp counselors. Cabins are assigned by gender and Sky level, and these variables cannot be mixed. If you have a specific question about our cabin facilities please call (877) 215-7725.
How do Cabinmate request work?
At Sky Ranch, we guarantee cabinmate requests as long as the requests are mutual and campers belong to the same Sky level. If multiple requests are made, we cannot promise that your camper will be placed with every request, but we will do our best to accommodate every cabinmate request. Unfortunately, we are not able to place single week campers in cabins with multi-week campers, nor can we mix Sky levels, genders, programs or camps. Please contact Guest Registrations at (877) 215-7725 if you would like to make or change a cabinmate request or if you have any questions.
What are SkyPacks and SnackPacks?
SkyPacks are ready-made care packages put together to help your camper survive his or her week of camp. Packs are organized by gender and age-level. Kids love receiving these group-appropriate items and all packs are delivered the same day. SnackPacks are goody bags filled with all types of edible treats for campers to enjoy. These packs come pre-made and ready to be delivered on the day of your choice. You can order one for each day if you would like. Both SkyPacks and SnackPacks come in cool Sky Ranch customized draw-string bags.
What about medication?
There is a full-time nursing staff working all summer at Sky Ranch. Our staff takes meticulous care of every medical situation, especially when dispensing medicine. A Health Form is required to be completed for every child that comes to camp. If your child takes regular medication, exact guidelines and requirements are detailed on the Health Form. Please make sure when you arrive at camp that all medications are in original packaging. Please do not separate in plastic bags or pill holders. Health Form information can be found HERE.
What's your Lost and Found policy?
There is a Lost and Found table set-up during check-out on Saturday. Please check this section for any misplaced items before you leave camp. If you realize that your camper did not make it home with an item, please call the Lost and Found Hotline at (903) 266-3300 and leave a message describing the missing item(s). All claimed items will be returned C.O.D. Items will be held for two weeks, and after that time they will be donated to charity. Please label all items and make sure that you have all your belongings before leaving camp. Sky Ranch is not responsible for lost or broken items.
What's the Ranch Bank?
Upon arrival at camp, each camper is issued a Ranch Bank account. The Ranch Bank helps campers control their spending money. Because campers are not permitted to carry cash, each camper deposits spending money in their private Ranch Bank account and debit purchases to it. Campers can purchase snacks, souvenirs, gifts, books, apparel, toiletries and much more. We recommend depositing $50 for each week of summer camp. Unused Ranch Bank funds may be refunded or donated to the Sky Ranch Scholarship Program once camp is over. Please complete and return the Ranch Bank Refund Form to indicate your preference.
What's your cancellation policy?
Sky Ranch offers a 30-day grace period for each reservation made before March 15, 2012. During that time, all deposits are fully refundable. If this reservation is cancelled for any reason after the grace period and before March 15, 2012, the non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit of $100 will be forfeited. If this reservation is cancelled for any reason after March 15, 2012, all monies paid will be non-refundable. All payments are non-transferrable. Payments made cannot be transferred to another camper. If a camper's account falls behind in the payment schedule, that camper may be placed on the waiting list.
Does Sky Ranch offer scholarships?
Limited scholarships are available to families that may not be able to afford to pay the full tuition of summer camp. We award money in a way that attempts to allow as many children as possible to come to summer camp, and unfortunately, we are not able to offer a scholarship to everyone that applies. Scholarship money is awarded based on several factors: annual household income, number of children in the home, extenuating circumstances and previous scholarship assistance. Our guest registrations department will begin taking applications for scholarships in January 2012. Click here or call 877-215-7725 for more information.
