Lessons Learned
I have been very blessed to have some really good friends help me in this quest. Tim Ross has been there from the beginning - encouraging me, helping me prepare, and letting me know that he believed in what I was doing. Al Bach has helped me with my mental preparation and he always reminds me to see the Father in all that I am doing. Joel Bach has helped me with my team roping, and the fact that he was excited to be my helper was encouraging. Drew Horner was gracious enough to let us come rope his steers when the weather tried to prevent our practice. Many others, like Charlie Kingsbury, Bryce and Jim Davis, Ricky Green, and my dad have helped me prepare for the WTEC, but none more than my own brother, Cash.
Cash has helped me with my tripping - he has loaned me strings, he has helped me with my horses, he has given me ropes, opened gates, turned steers, and let me trip his steers. When I compete in Guthrie, any success I have will be in no small part to the help my brother has provided. I know when the WTEC is over, regardless of the outcome, whether anyone reads this journal, I was blessed by the Father with some very cool relationships. So, praise God for Brothers!
